TikTok Launches TikTok For Business
“With the launch of TikTok For Business, we set out to embrace the creative, positive, and real moments that make our community so special with solutions for businesses to connect and grow with our wonderfully expressive community”
TikTok has launched a new brand and platform called “TikTok for Business” that centralizes all its current and future marketing solutions for brands. All but the AR formats [signaling parity with Snap] under the ‘Ad Features Stack’ were available before today’s announcements, but now live under a single destination to introduce new products as they are developed.
Ad features stack:
🎵 Marque product, TopView: ad that appears when you first launch the app.
🎵 Brand Takeovers: 3-5 sec ads that can be either a video or image.
🎵 In-Feed Videos: 60 sec in length and run with the sound on.
🎵 Hashtag Challenges: allow brands to participate in the user community by inviting TikTok users to create content around a hashtag of their choice.
🎵 Branded Effects: integrates brands into the content creation exp. Brand or product can be added to a video in a 2D, 3D, or now AR format in the foreground or background of a video. Can be combined with Hashtag Challenges to boost engagement.
Along with the platform a best practices center will help marketers learn about TikTok and its ad offerings. The platform has been historically mum about pricing and reveals it’s based on what the brand wants to achieve and the scope of its campaign.
Similar to YouTube’s BrandConnect [Famebit], TikTok has been testing their Creator Marketplace in select regions which allow brands to discover and partner with TikTok content creators on paid brand campaigns.
