TikTok Vows For More Transparency

As tech giants, Facebook, Apple, Google, and Amazon face the House Judiciary’s antitrust panel today, TikTok is taking new measures to announce more steps on being transparent. The platform has been mired with controversy with US politicians warning about TikTok’s influence and a proposed ban by the USFG.

Tech companies have become larger targets when it comes to topics around safety and privacy online, but the vast majority of them have failed in directly addressing and opening up their back end for scrutiny. While a direct announcement to the public on steps moving forward and challenging industry peers to follow suit, only time will tell to see tangible changes.
