“We realized there was a huge void that needed to be filling in the gaming marketplace. Gamers are from all walks of life and all backgrounds. But if you look at the current organizations, they sort of resemble a frat house. They’re not reflective of the racial and gender diversity in the gaming world.”
XSET launched its “Revolutionary Purpose-Driven Gaming Organization” today. It has announced its Co-founders as esports execs ex-FaZe President, Greg Selkoe, ex- FaZe President of Apparel, Wil Eddins, ex-FaZe Director of Biz Dev, Clinton Sparks, and Framerate founder Marco Mereu.
❌ Social mission to focus on being change agents and inclusion in esports+gaming.
❌ Will be HQ’d in Boston and center around its East Coast identity.
❌ 3 Pro teams to start in CoD, Valorant, and Fortnite.
❌ Borrowing the FaZe model, notable musical artists, brands, and celebrities will drive its culture along with its own apparel line.
❌ “x” in the name XSET is meant to represent a variable meaning “anyone,” paired with “set” as in team or group.
